Hello guys, its nice that you guys are back and so am I, since I had been inactive for two weeks or so due to illness. So I welcome you to my new blog and thank you for reading my previous ones, assuming that you did🙄.
Just like yours, my parents, especially my mother also make me do or believe in things which seem to have no logic, in the name of religions.
The interesting part comes when I ask the question “why” (we should always ask “why” before almost everything). At such, my mother replies that it is true. And when I further ask her how she can say that it is true, she would simply reply that it is so because her parents told her that. And who told them that? Here comes the never ending cycle. People successively keep telling there children those mythical stories without ever thinking about the true reasons behind them.
There must have been a time when no one believed these. Then must have come the ancient scholars who came up with those imaginary(may be) stories. But why would they do so? As I said, they are scholars, and far more intelligent than most of the people of these times.
Well, I am a so-named Hindu and hence I don't know much about other religions. But have you seen Hindu women worshipping Peepal, Neem tree or Tulsi plant? I am sure you have. If you ask them why they do so, they would say that God resides in them. Really? Then why just these trees or plants and not any other? Let me tell you a fact. Almost every tree produces oxygen, but only at the day, when they get sunlight. At night they produce Carbon Dioxide(This is why we are advised not to sleep near a tree at night). But Peepal, Neem tree and Tulsi plant actually produces oxygen at night as well.
Now, the ancient scholars knew this and knowing that not all have that much knowlege, had to find out ways by which people will believe that. One efficient way was to use the name of religion to give importance to these trees and plants. And so they did. They same did they do to other important things as well like clothes, environment, behaviour and so on. So, religion is a set of beliefs and ideas which can improve our life and teach us a lot.
They were sure that people would always believe those, but I don't think that they had idea about people starting to use these ideas otherwise. Greedy people started coming up with more and more ideas which actually were illogical but due to the past, they believed all.
In Hindu religion, people were suggested to recite aartis because the stories and ideas told by those teach us a lot and apply tilaks on there foreheads which presses the forehead and because that point is of great importance and helps imrove person's health.
Have you seen that-
The Holy Bhagvad Gita has a great lot of useful information about life and science! And hence it was suggested to be read. But people simply open it up, recite the whole book without understanding a word, look around them, find no difference and claim that the book is useless. Well, the book was to change them and not the world around them.
The same is true for all the other religions as well but as I told you, I don't know much about others so I am sorry that I cannot tell you about them but you will find much about it on the internet.
Neither the religions nor their makers are foolish. Foolish are they who follow and judge them illogically. They just wanted to teach us all the knowlege through a simple way of religion but we messed it all up😭.
There is still a lot that we can learn from our ancient granths and rishis but in the name of religion, we simply deny the fact that these could be true.
I want to say a lot more but you know that making it long wouldn't be good so I would like to end here. Thank you so much for reading till here and following me might be a good idea(for me😎).
