Hello friends how are you all, i hope you all are good and healthy. Today I am going to share about the lost city of Atlantis.

Many of you may have heard about ‘The Lost city of Atlantis ’ which sank into the sea in just one day and one night .

Atlantis was believed to be a legendary prosperous and beautiful island. Soon in one violent surge it was gone completely. The island of Atlantis, it's people and it's memory were swallowed by the sea. It was first mentioned in Plato's dialogues timaeus and critias , written in c. 360 BC.

According to Plato, the city of Atlantis was home of most advanced society in the world. It was filled with many architectural elements, intricate buildings, bridges passageway adored with priceless metals. The capital city was built on a hill and surrounded by a ring of water, which were joined by a tunnels which were huge and large enough for a ship to sail through it.

For over two thousand years, the story of Atlantis was just a story. But then one American become fascinated with the story and he believed that Plato was recording an actual natural disaster . Since then several books were written about the lost city.

The first question that come to your mind will be where was Atlantis? So here it is.

Plato specifically said that the city of Atlantis was near the Pillars of Hercules, which are thought to be somewhere near Greece. The exact location of Atlantis is still not know. Some people say it is Altiplano, near the Andea Mountain which is in Bolivia. And some people thinks city is somewhere in Central America, the China sea or Africa. 

According to Edgar Cayce, he felt the Atlantis existed in some form going back at least 1000,000 years.

 According to the myth, the three brothers: Zeus, Poseidon and Hades drew lots to divide up this earthly realm. Zeus took the sky, Poseidon took the surface of the Earth which includes sea and Hades took the underworld. Plato tell us Poseidon then created Atlantis and married a mortal woman who give birth to 5 set of twins.
