"Now I am death, destroyer of worlds."
Introduction
Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is a biographical film about the "Father of the Atomic Bomb", J. Robert Oppenheimer. It is based on how Robert invented the first atomic bomb and how he was criticized for a crime he did not commit.
About the teacher
"Christopher Nolan never disappoints."
If anyone asks what the movie was, whether it was good or not, just say "It was a Christopher Nolan movie". He was known for his unsuccessful films. Even though it was a biopic, the magic of Christopher Nolan played a better role in it. Although it was not Christopher Nolan's best film, it is the best film of the year.
About the characters
The main character of the film was Cillian Murphy. He served as an award winner who inspired every moviegoer. I think she is best suited for this movie and no one can do this role as well as her. Credit must be given to Robert Dowry Jr. for his excellent performance. Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer also did a good job as Oppenheimer's wife. Matt Damon as Leslie Groves was the military leader of the project. He was rigid and played a strict and wise role. Even as a military man who doesn't know much about physics, he tried to deal with Oppenheimer. There were many cameos from great scientists like Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Josh Peck, etc. Overall, all the characters did a nice job.
About the movie
More than the explosions, the spectacle was more important than the action. As I had just done physics from class 12, I understood all its concepts. But I think it will be a bit difficult for those who find physics difficult. The execution of the dialogue was very exciting and some of it will always remain in my heart. The peasants were very good and all the backgrounds gave the feeling of the beginning of the 20th century. The air conditioning was good, especially the storm before the test which was great. The political scenes of the film were better and less outstanding than the scientific ones. But as a child I hated the political side. The way Oppenheimer cared for his teammate was amazing. He was responsible for his work.
There were negative things in my opinion, but I don't consider it a criticism. As I said before, it was more talk than action. I had a hard time following the movie. Later I realized that three periods were happening at the same time.
Overall rating
I give this movie a 4.5. As I said earlier, some dialogues are still in our hearts. All the scientists played a nice role. Especially the last scene where Albert Einstein talked about what would become of Oppenheimer later. I found the conversation very sincere and heartfelt. I hope you enjoy this movie review.
