We all have goals we want to achieve , we all have a purpose for which we are ready to leave everything , we all have a passion , we all have a mountain in front of us which we want to conquer . And what we do to conquer it , we invest all of our time and energy working towards it . We stay away from everyone who distracts us ,who discourages us, who show us any other mountain less high than we want to conquer . But let me ask you , what would you achieve after climbing it if you have no one around you to share your success with , to share the amazing view you saw from that height ?
To put forward my point more clearly here is a story.
Long time ago , There was a village full of happiness , fields were always green , people were friendly . Rarely any crime had happened there so people usually kept there windows and doors open throughout the day chatting with each other , supporting each other .
The main reason for that was the mayor of the village , unlike previous mayors who rarely visited people they are governing , he always used to spent his days with the people. People respected him . He brought fortune both for himself and his people . But unlike him, his son was lazy who rarely put his ass up from the bed . He was not interested in his fathers teachings . His father was sure that he will not be able to govern this village . He wanted to do something , he wanted him to learn about life . So one day he called his son , gave him a map and said go find the treasure I have marked in it , if you managed to find it you will not have to do anything for the rest of your life .Along with the map he gave him a bag with four pair of clothes for four seasons , some money and raw food enough only for few months . The next day he went on that journey . He climbed mountains , crossed rivers, spent his nights under the moon .He met with people who helped him , gave him shelter and food for nothing in return . He also met with people who betrayed him , tried to rob him of his money . The greed of the treasure never let him rest and enjoy the journey . He was always worried what if someone else found it first . Finally he reached a cliff , found the tree under which treasure was about to be found , he continued digging for 2 days but found nothing . Angered on his father he decided to return to his home . On the way home , he had learned lots of new skills . He could predict the time by looking at the sun , he knew how to hunt . He spent more time with the people who had helped him without anything in return trying to help them in any way possible, he enjoyed his nights under the moon gazing at the stars , enjoyed each sunset . Finally when he returned to his house he said , โFather, Father! I am back but sorry I was not able to find the treasure . Someone may have already taken itโ, his father asked ,"Did you enjoy your journey" .He explained his hardships on the trip to treasure and pleasures of the return journey .His father replied ,"there was no treasure there in the first place ."
The purpose of life is to live it , to taste experience to the utmost ,to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
