m Tuesday With Morrie is the only book which made me cry ever. It's the story of an old professor dying slowly from ALS(Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)) . He was a professor all his life , and as he walked closer to his death , he wanted to give his final lecture about his own death . The only student who attended this last lecture was Mitch Albom , his ex-student . For Mitch , Morrie was not less than a father . He talked with him about topics he couldn't talk about with his own father .
Mitch had forgotten Morrie and got busy with his own life problems .He had promised Morrie that he would stay in touch with him but failed in doing so .Mitch had earn a great fortune and fame for himself in journalism .He had money, but no time for love. Instead of doing what he loves i.e. playing piano ,being a musician , fulfilling his dream he was reporting how other sports-star are fulfilling theirs . He had no idea about Morrie's health until he watched on TV . The interview of dying Morrie with Ted Koppel , where he was telling the future travelers to death what to pack for their journey .
Mitch was shocked to see Morrie's happiness even though he knew anytime he could die. He could not understand how Morrie can be so happy even after having completely disabled body ." He could not walk , he could not eat, he could not clear his nose and most importantly he could not dance which he loved the most . He could no longer do anything without anyone's help , yet how is he still so cheerful , so happy and here I am capable of doing everything I want and yet I am so unhappy with my life " Mitch thought . And to get his answers he went to Morrie every Tuesday to talk about everything .. life, love , marriage , disease and death .
