While Paranjothi was pondering the above, a change in the room suddenly caught his attention. A little light was now visible in the room which had been dark until a moment ago. Paranjothi looked up, wondering what was the cause of this change. This is because the moonlight had entered through a small hole in the roof. For a moment Paranjothi wondered how the hole had suddenly appeared. "No, no! The hole must have been there all along; but the moonlight now came directly into the hole!" He himself answered. Yes, the light of the full moon now makes the outside world a beautiful world! It looks like the moonlight is coming in through the hole in the roof to make him jealous of the outer world...!
Aha! What is this? The amount of moonlight coming in has now increased! The hole seems to be enlarged! Wow! At first it was a small hole that even a hand couldn't fit through, but now it is big enough for a person to enter! Is this Magic? Mahendra Chakravarthy's Kanchi city is a magical city!
Alas! What horror is this?.. Paranjothi's breath stopped for a minute! A long snake slithered down through the hole in the roof!.. No, no! It isn’t a snake!... It's just a rope! See! Today, at midday, the Buddhist Bhikshu came with a dead snake and startled him! Even if you look at the rope, it looks like a snake.
The mystery of the roof hole was now revealed. Someone has made a hole in the roof. They let the rope in through it!.. Why? What else would it be for? To help me to escape! But who would take such a risk for me in this great unknown city? How did someone know he was in that prison cell?
By this time, the end of the rope was within his reach. It came down further and touched the ground, and then the rope started swinging this way and that. There is no doubt that someone who let down the rope from above shakes it. Is he signalling me to come up through the rope? That's how it should be.
Paranjothi thought for a moment whether to accept the miraculous help or not. On the one hand, he wondered what other problems would happen. On the other hand, he was curious to know who would make such an effort to save him. In addition, there is another important reason! It was the hunger!
Paranjothi pulled the rope hard. At the top it looked like it was tied tightly. It was certain that it would bear his weight well. Immediately, he started climbing up along the rope.
