Previously, on Sivagamiyin Sabadham, a young man named Paranjothi entered Kanchi city with the help of the Buddhist Monk. On his way to the Monastery, he saved Dancer Sivagami and her father Ayanar  from the wrath of the rogue elephant very bravely, then he disappeared from there.

God Saved- chapter 3

The old man and the young woman were watching as a young boy threw his spear at the rogue elephant like a lightning flash and the elephant turned and chased him.  The courage and bravery of that young man amazed them.  Their hearts beat that the child should not be in danger.  They came out of Palanquin nervously, eager to know what had happened to him.  At that time, the wide street was deserted and there was not even a fly there.

The man who came down from the palanquin put his hand on the young woman's back and hugged her in a loving voice, "Are you scared, Sivagami?"  he asked.

"Not at all, Appa!"  said Sivagami.  Then she said, "What would have been our fate if that boy had not come and distracted the elephant at the right time?"  she said.

"The palanquin would have been shattered into a hundred pieces!"  said the father.

      "Oh!" said the young woman.

“That’s why I told palanquin lifters to drop the Palanquin and run. We could have escaped by running into the neighbor's house. But the danger is great!" said the elder.

The people who had scattered in all directions started coming back one by one after a while.  All those who had come started talking about what had happened there, and the sound of voices arose in the place that had been quiet a while ago.

"Aha! Isn't it Ayanar and his daughter! It's a good thing! God saved!"  The people stood there talking variously.
Although God saved, He saved in the form of that brave young man!  Who will that boy be?  What happened to him?  This is what Ayanar and his daughter were thinking about.  But there was no one to inform them about the young man.

Ayanar went near where the elephant had last stood. There he picked up the broken spear that had been trampled by the elephant. He tied up the loose bundle which was still a little distance away and came back to Sivagami.  Sivagami took the broken spear and looked at it in amazement.
Ayanar said, "Sivagami! It is no use standing here in vain. Let’s go; all the details will be known by itself tomorrow."

When the father and daughter were about to get into palanquin, they hesitated hearing the sound of horses galloping a little distance away.
In the moonlight, two white horses could be seen coming towards them, followed by five or six horses. Two noble men mounted on the horses that came ahead.  Following them were soldiers on horseback.  When the horses came to a stop near the shrine, the people drew back a little in reverence.

"Long live Mahendra Maha Pallavar!"  "Long live the Tribhuvana Emperor!"  “Hail Maharaja!" "Long live Crown Prince Mamallar!" chants arose from all sides.

Ayanar and Sivagami were greatly surprised to realise that the people who came ahead on the white horses were Mahendra Chakkravarthy (Emperor) and his only son Narasimha Pallavar. Sivagami hid behind Ayanar, bashfully. Her wide black eyes looked at the Crown Prince who was sitting on a horse behind the emperor.
