Yarannai avan, sambandame want mothe kali vant poitta.''''''Sambandh iruk... avan pedi dilly...'' Adaikalam's dialogue in the climax of the film Kaiti is actually Vikram's introduction to the second part of that film. Kaiti begins when Inspector Bijoy and his team seize drugs worth Rs 800 crore in the market.Bejoy rescues his colleagues from the drug mafia with the help of Dilli, an ex-jailer. What happens after that, where is that container truck full of drugs? Are Adaikalam and his brother Anpu still in jail? Vikram gives answers to these questions.

Vikram is the gateway to Lokesh Kanakaraj's cinematic universe. This movie is an action packed entertainer directed by Lokesh with his idol star in the lead. A narcotics officer named Stephen Raj (Harish Peradi) is killed by a group of masked assailants. Undercover agent Amar and his team arrive to investigate this case, which is very similar to the murder of a police officer named Pravanan. Such a team known as the Sleeper Cell Team is known only to a few elites of the police.Amar's and his team's investigation leads to Karnan, the father of a policeman named Pravvanan. After the death of his son, Karnan, who had become a drunkard, was also killed by the assailants. Amar discovers that drug mafia boss Santhanam is behind this. But even there some questions are bothering Amar. The audience will understand that this movie has some connections with the 1986 Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram. Lokesh's brilliance in taking the plot from that film and connecting it with his previous film is commendable. Though not a predictable story, Vikram overcomes such shortcomings with the making. The film is made at Hollywood level. Vikram also has references to shots seen in Christopher Nolan's films.Although there are many stars in the film, the characters are important in the film. The film is also not star-centric but story-based.Kamal Haasan's swag is reminiscent of Hollywood actors' performances. Kamal's international class action performance is like a lion's roar. Vijay Sethupathi takes the villain character Santhanam to another level with new mannerisms. From Bhavani in Master, he has adopted a different style of acting which seems crazy when he reaches Santana.Fahadh's performance is that of Kamal Haasan. Fahad single-handedly carries the first half with a compact performance. Fahad also excelled in dialogue delivery.

Another avatar is born in the climax when he is shocked by the performance of these three people. Villain to villain. In just five minutes, Suriya becomes a star with a performance that silences the theater. The character of Bijoy was safe in Naren's hands. Chemban Vinod's villain role was also impressive. His acting mixed with comedy did full justice to the character. Other stars include Kalidas Jayaram, Gayatri Shankar, Sanvi Srivastha, Shivani Narayanan, Ramesh Tilak, Aruldos, Sampath Ram, Gokulnath, Dhina, Arjun Das, Harish Uttaman and the woman who came as Kamal Haasan's maid.It must be said that Lokesh could not pay enough attention to the innards of the script. Suspense is not built up in the telling of the story. A predictable storyline and lack of vigilance in visual effects are the downsides. The robotic camera movements felt underutilized in the action scenes. The fight scenes of Anp Arivam are a fiery viewing experience.Especially Vikram's entry fight. The shootout scenes with the mission gun are also thrilling. Although the three-hour duration feels somewhat stretched, Philomena Raj's editing helps the film at many points. Girish Gangadharan's camera movements and Anirudh's haunting music are perfect for each other.Collaborate with stars including a superstar for Ulakanayakan and stick with whatever the director has in mind. Even the birth of the film Vikram has to be described as dreamlike. When that dream comes true, no shadow falls on the audience's expectations. Lokesh, who has shown Suriya as such a strong villain, prepares what wonders he will do in Vikram 3. Will Vikram seek Dilli's help to tame Suriya?Or call JD aka John Dury? One thing is for sure, he is a 'Maranamas Kamal Haasan Fan'. anything could happen.
