Vijay's film ‘varisu ', which has been in the news for a long time, has been released in theaters in conjunction with Pongal. Rashmika Mandana, R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sham, Srikanth, Jayasudha and Yogi Babu are all cast in the film. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film is aimed at the family audience.Vamshi Paidipally is a director who has produced notable Telugu films like Munna, Brindavanam, Yevadu, Oopiri and Maharshi. Vaaris moves through familiar storylines but seeing Vijay in such a film is something new. Who is the successor of Rajendra, the head of the business empire Rajendra Group of Companies? What qualifies him for that is told in the story of the film. Rajendran had three sons. Not realizing the place and value of family ties, he asked his sons to compete with each other to find his successor. While the two elder sons were ready to follow their father's path, the third Vijay chose his own path. With that he was out of the house and out of Rajendra's mind.As Rajendran faces death due to pancreatic cancer, the business needs a successor. It is on this occasion that Vijay returns. The events that follow are to be seen in Waris. When even Nathan is unable to overcome the crises that arise in a wealthy Bissus family,We have seen in many films that his son, whom he had written off, comes to complete the task. The same story has been told in various angles in Tamil, Telugu and even Malayalam. There is only one answer as to how Waris stands out from it - Vijay is in it. Because Vijay has not acted in a film like this in recent times.Dalapathy's mind, which thought of making a good family film - should be accepted, but it was wrong to think that it didn't need a particularly new story either. Expectations cannot be said to be in vain as the trailer has completely revealed what we will see in the film. The movie is 100% what that trailer shared, nothing more! The stories of joint families have been seen in movies, some of the moments keep coming to the audience's mind from time to time. Although the story did not address such similarities, the similarities felt in the presentation were spot on. At first glance, it looks like Vijay has stepped into a Telugu family film. The director has not been able to place the story in a way that suits Tamil cinema and people. Therefore, Varys maintains a small distance from the audience, regardless of the other factors. The enthusiasm of Attanayak Vijay is the actor who holds the film without breaking down, which has nothing new in terms of story. If you look at it this way, this is a comeback for the winner who used to shine in family stories in the past. At least a section of fans are expecting him in such films as well. Moreover, the actor came full of action, dance and punch dialogues to satisfy his fans. So no matter the story, no matter the movie, Waris is too much for those who just watch Dalapati. And it is better to be able to watch the Pongal season with the family. The director's strength lies in creating a curiosity about how things will change when Vijay arrives in the scene, even though he has recreated it.Even though the core emotions of the story could not be utilized to the maximum, the director has carried it without losing it.Although Vijay comes full circle in the second half, the actor is the main attraction in the first half as well. Had there been a strong villain and a strong screenplay, Attanayakan's 'Attam' would have been different. Highlights of the film The first one is Vijay, after that Thaman who gave the film the most strength is the music director. The songs have already hit the charts. It felt even better when it was played in the theater. The songs are also picturized beautifully. It has to be mentioned that 'Soul of Waris' by KS Chitra won the first place in hearts. Along with Vijay's screen presence, the background music also helped to heighten the excitement and connect with the film.Karthik Palani's cinematography is excellent, capturing the action, dance scenes and emotions perfectly. Among the actors, Sarathkumar and Jayasudha attracted attention after Vijay. Both of them portrayed their characters beautifully. Sham and Srikanth who came as Vijay's brothers were also good choices. And about the heroine.., the story does not have such a heroine. Rashmika's is only a small character, as usual, a role written only to dance with the hero. So there is nothing to say about Rashmika's acting, the actress has been one of the main attractions in the song scenes. While the fan-pleasing action can also be cited as a positive factor, it lacks the matte feel due to the close-up feel.Pulling Varys back If you think that the repetition of the story is the main enemy of Varys, you are wrong, the villain is the script that is not coherent. There is a flashback scene in the first half where the father and son get together. The scene was very poorly written and the director shot it. If you can't convince by showing it in person, it should be avoided.Similarly, many characters come and go in the film, but none of their roles make enough of an impact. The director was unable to properly use the cast of Prakash Raj, Prabhu and Suman as he could not create strong characters. SJ Surya's cameo was the only relief. When I tried to use the image of the star Vijay, I also needed a villain to match it.Without it, no matter how much 'fire' the hero pours, the heat will not reach the audience! The direction Vijay intended to travel was good, but the path taken was wrong. Fans will probably be satisfied with this as well, but the general audience is only captivated by their songs. Varisin's score would have been even higher if he had focused more on the emotions within family relationships.
