Obese children face lifestyle diseases much earlier.Ill health of children will affect the progress of the family and the progress of the nation. Childhood nutrition is inextricably linked with a person's life. Actually children in our country are facing malnutrition not because of lack of food but because of lack of awareness.It is always a challenge for parents to prepare and feed their children's favorite food at any age and season. When arranging food

Children need 2000 to 2100 calories per day depending on their age. Children should get 41 to 63 grams of protein and 25 to 22 grams of fat.Besides calcium, iron, vitamin-A, C, B12, micronutrients like thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and folic acid, the food should be arranged in such a way that all the food sources are sufficient. Nutrient requirements are the same for adults and children. But it is just that their requirement varies in different ages.

Breakfast is brain food

It is said that breakfast is the brain food. Breakfast is very important as it is the meal after a night's sleep and a long meal break and plays an important role in providing energy and refreshment for the day. But breakfast is the most likely meal that children skip in the rush to school.Children who go to school without breakfast may be tired and have trouble concentrating on their studies. Breakfast should include all nutrients. For that, it can be wheat and lentil dishes like idli, dosa (with sambar) or putt, idiappam, chapati etc. along with chickpeas, chickpeas (any type of lentil) curry or fish. Or you can try porridge, lentils, kappa and fish.There is no need to worry about children's breakfast if you can include some nuts/eggs immediately after waking up and a fruit just before going to school. Because older children may not have a snack break. For small children, fruits, nuts, vegetable salad, coconut pool etc.The child's interests should also be considered while making food. Never make a food that the child does not like at all.
The child can be told through examples what are the problems of eating unhealthy food and what are the benefits of eating healthy food.
Do not deny children their favorite food as part of punishment.
Encourage drinking clean water with meals.
