How we got stuck in our own houses in this pandemic and realized how we were fooling ourselves by making our boss and madam happy. We just forgot that we are also a human being and we also have the right to be happy, we just used to get up in the morning run to the office and then return back and sleep again and that was going on and on… between this run we forgot that we have a life to live, to laugh, to discover and many more.

How we were busy in our works so much that we were not even aware that our kid was in7th std or will go in 7th std this year. I am just a child but I’ve seen my parents working 24/7 just to give us a better life especially better than theirs. 

But while collecting money they forgot to collect memories which were costlier and more special than money. This lockdown has taught us that we are not just 4-5 people living in a room, we are a family which is supposed to eat together, read together, and be happy together, while eating food at the first night of this pandemic, dad was like it has been a long time we all had been sitting together and having food…and I was like dad not time it has been years. You have lots of extra work on Sunday so you don’t take us to the garden anymore, and on holidays you have an invite from your friends and colleagues.

Mumma was always busy in her own kitty parties and the gossips of the society, she never asked us “Dear what do you want to eat today say I’ll cook it for you”, She just asked the maid to cook whatever she knows. We don’t even know that does our mom know how to make a tasty meal, coz our maid cooks it very tasty.

We never used to go on trips together, rather than going to Nani’s house every summer vacation, and Mausi’s house every Diwali vacation, that too dad used to stay back home coz of his loads of work. Now I feel very blessed when tries to cook new, new dishes from YouTube just for us, dad plays games with us and spends time with us which is really costlier that those promotion cheques. People say what do you need you have lots of money, a mother and a father, a maid to cook and do the household chores. But the main thing is the love and affection we need to live our life.

To all the parents reading this, I request you to spend some time with your children and do nothing great just ask them how was your day dear, what will you like to eat today, lets go to the park and play racket…
