So today we will be talking about a place considered to be the most haunted place in India. A fort named the Bhangarh Fort located in the state of rajasthan in India is a 16th century fort . It was built by Raja  (king)Bhagwant Das 

Why is bhangarh prohibited?

So trespassing near bhangarh is legally restricted from sunset till sunrise, as it is considered to be haunted. According to the commoners that live nearby, the spirits enter the place after sun sets and thus no one is allowed to enter the borders during this time.

According to one of the legen, a sadhu named Baba Balak Nath used to live within the fort area and it was his injunction that no house built in the vicinity should be taller than his and if the shadow of any house fell on his, it would be the destruction of the town.

As a second legend suggests, princess Ratnavati was considered to be the jewel of the the state Rajasthan because of her beauty. As a result she used to recieve a lot of marriage proposals. Among all the other suitors, there was a local tantrik who was well aware that he has no chance with the princess. So once he saw the princess's maid buying oil and grabbed the opportunity. He enchanted that oil with some kind of love potion to trick the princess to fall in love with him. When the princess knew about this, she threw the oil which accidentally fell on a boulder. That boulder somehow fell on that tantrik and crushed him to death. But before his last breathe, he cursed the princess, her family and the whole village. The very next year the entire village's population is believed to have killed during a battle against Ajabgarh.

So the locals today believe that this is the reason behind the fort being haunted.

My opinion: Well i dont really believe in that legend and that spirits roaming around the fort. But what i believe has nothing to do with it being truth or false. It might be actually real or it might be just some wild animals killing people or some gang's meeting place. Either way, the story was quiet interesting.
