Hi there! Welcome or welcome back my dear bloggers to my daily blogs. I hope you all are in good health and are having a blast of a day.

In this blog, we will be talking about yet more mythological stories. We will talk about Achilles.

So Achilles was considered to be the best greek warrior even when he was just a young man. Achilles was the son of king Pleus of Thessaly. There was a rumour that claimed his invulnerability. When he was a child, his mother bathed him in the sacred river stix. So due to this ritual he was protected by the gods and his only weak spot on his entire body remained his heel. When he grew up, he and his friend patroclus were trained by the centaur chiron to be the greatest warrior of his time.

Greek war began, but king agamemnon knew that the hellenis would not leave for troy without their greatest warrior. Without achilles, the victory in troy would be impossible. Odysseus upon knowing the prophecy went in search of achilles, he strongly wanted the success of this expedition so that he would return from war safe and sound to his beloved penelope and his son telemachus. Tethys denied and ordered achilles to hide as she knew that the prophecy told that he would not return. So he hid in the court of king Lychomides, as a woman. And in this court lived the princess diadamia, achilles' girlfriend with whom he already had a 4 yr old son, named Neotholamas.

Odysseus came to the court and bought some gifts for the kings daughters, one of whom was achilles in disguise. The girls were excited about the gifts. And odysseus noticed that one had her eyes fixed on the sword. And then one of his men came in and shouted that they were being attacked by pirates. All the girls screamed and ran to their rooms but achilles instinctively held a fighting stance with the sword. And odysseus' plan worked. Achilles was secretly pleased that he was summoned to head for troy. He said his goodbyes to deidamia nad his son Pyrus. He promised odysseus that he would gather his men and join agamemnons army to achieve glory in the war and win it.

So that was pretty much everything for this blog. I hope you all enjoyed it.
