Hi there. Welcome or welcome back my dear bloggers to my daily blogs. I hope you all are in good health and are having a blast of a day.
Today we will be talking a bit about some interesting concepts hidden in our universe far away from here. We will be talking about the Neutron stars. These neutron stars are considered to be one of the most extreme and violent things in the universe. So when a star dies it either turns into a Neutron star or a White dwarf, according to its size and mass. Inside these neutron stars, they are very like normal planets with solid crusts over a liquid core.
So recently, astrophysicists have witnessed an amazing phenomenon, which is the collision of two neutron star which are very far from our earth. And with this collision, an incredibly powerful celestial object is born , a magnetar. A magnetar is a dead star very small in size but with a powerful magnetic field of it. It is considered as one of the densest objects of the whole universe. Even a pinch of the magnetar is enough to outweigh the heaviest object of our earth.
It is considered a small dead star, but in actuality it can contain about 30 of our suns in its mass. And its magnetic field is so strong that if it comes any near to earth or even moon, it can easily erase all the info from the mag. stripes of all the credit cards there is on our Earth. This is not the first time anyone has seen a magnetar, but witnessing the birth of this celestial body is the first time for the scientists. When the two neutron stars collided with each other, their explosion lit up their side of the sky with a big bright flash of gamma radiation. When the scientists studied the readings of the result of the kilonova, they found something unusual, something extra in the aftermath of the collision. And after various observations, they came to a conclusion and settled for a magnetar.
And like this, for the first time ever ,in 2020 , a magnetar's creation was observed that occured thousands and thousands of light years away from our Earth.
So that was all for this blog, guys. I hope you all liked it and enjoyed it.
