I am back with yet another entertainment review. This time i am going to review a horror television series known as “The Haunting of The Hill House”. This series is a supernatural horror drama television series which has about 10 episodes. This is based on “The Haunting of Hill House” novel by Shirley Jackson. Lets first talk about the plot of this story line.

There is a couple with 5 children, 3 daughters and 2 sons. The mother is an architect and the father is the helping contractor/ engineer. So this family finds home for their 8 week summer time. They find this house called the “Hill House”, which got its name from the previous owner, The Hill Family. They bought this house which got a bit old and broke in a couple places. They plan to renovate the house and sell it for a lot of money aiming to be rich after it. But less that they knew, their life will be changing when the mother gets caught up with the supernatural of the house. 

Ghosts are guilt, ghosts are secrets, ghosts are regrets and failings. But most of the times, most times a ghost is a wish.

My opinion: I have been searching for a really horror movie or series for a long time and by far i believe this has to be the best horror story i have experienced so far. In theory, if the horror story and parts would have been removed from this story, this would have been a very great emotional story that would ball your eyes till the end. So yes, I would definitely recommend you all to watch this series. It is available on Netflix. 

There is one more series continuing this “Haunting” series called “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and both of them are directed by a great horror director Mike Flanagan.

Hill house does not attack the horror right in our faces. It rather follows us, just like the ghost haunting the characters, until the fear kicks in and becomes too much to bear.
