Hi again. Welcome or welcome back my dear bloggers to my daily blogs. This blog will all be a bit about one more architecture masterpiece.

Apple Park. It is the main headquarters of the Apple Inc. Apple park is located at One Apple Park Way in California, United States. It was first opened to the employers of the apple company in April 2017.

It is also known as Apple Campus 2. The architecture style used here is Neo futurism. The apple park has 4 floors for even more than 12,000 staff members. The floor area is about 0.26 km Β².

The architecture design was designed by a well known architect, Norman Foster and the architectural firm was Foster and Partners.

The co founder of apple, Steve Jobs, was in a search for a campus to look less like an office park and more like a nature based refuge. And that is why, 80 % of the site consists of green space filled with draught resistant trees including cherry, olive and also apple. Also in vision of the workers health, it also has 3.2 km of walking and running tracks. And also a thousand bikes for them to travel from one building to another. It also has gyms, wellness center and a few basketball courts.

This ring shaped office headquarters has the inner and outer rims on each floor that are left open as walkways. It was initially thought that the project would cost just half a billion dollars to be built together, however the land alone cost a 160 million dollars. By 2011, the budget was over 3 billion dollars and at time it was done, the cost was about 5 billions.

The interior woods that are used for the furniture were harvested from a maple species, with Apple working with construction companies. A hollow concrete slab acts as floor, ceiling and HVAC ( heating, ventilation, and  air condition) system.

An auditorium known as the Steve Jobs Theater, named after the CEO of Apple, the facility is located at the top of the hill on the campus. It is an underground auditorium of 1000 seats that was made for Apple launches and press meets. This theater also has a 13 meter high glass elevator that rotates about 170 degrees from the bottom to the upper level. This elevator is made from glass and is considered to be the tallest free standing glass elevator in the world

The first press event was held on 12 September of 2017, in which the IPhone 8, Iphone 8+, Apple Watch Series 3 and  also the Apple TV 4K were announced.

So that was all for this blog. I hope you liked it.
