Asgard was the home to various gods of norse mythology also known as the Aesir gods. They all had one thing in common, which was the fear for Thor, the Champion of the Gods and son of Odin. With his Mighty hammer, he could protect the citadel from the gods. But Thor, with his restless spirit, always wanted to experience different adventures. And when he was out of asgard, the place was vulnerable to its enemies.
After a concerned meeting, the gods decided to built a wall for protection purposes. But some argued that building a wall will take years. Then, a mysterious person emerged from the woods and claimed that he was the best builder. As a reward for building this wall, he asked for the goddess, Freya's hand. Everyone rejected his proposal except Loki. He convinces others that building a wall like that in one year is impossible and if he fails, then he will get nothing. But we will have a fair share of the wall built even if it is not finished. The gods agreed with loki.
The builder started his work. He also had the help of a powerful horse to bring stones. As time passed, the deadline came close, and the gods saw that there was very less work left. Odin was furious with loki blaming him for his proposal. Loki promises Odin that the builder would not finish this wall. Loki devised a plan to keep the powerful horse away from the builder. With his magical powers of metamorphosis, he turned himself into a female horse to seduce the builders horse. And as planned the great horse was dazzled by the god in disguise. The builder tried to control his horse but the horse ran away to chase the divine mare. The builder failed to finish the wall without his horse's help. He ripped off his clothes to reveal his true identity. He was a Giant, a kind that hated gods. Furiously, he set out to attack the gods. Thor fought him and crushed his head. The gods completely the rest of the wall.
However, it was long that loki returned. He finally came back with a eight legged horse. Loki offered this mystical horse to odin. He told odin that when the horse grows up, he would be the most powerful and fast horse ever. In return loki only asked this, that no one would ask about the origin of this majestic horse.
