At the beginning of the world, the titans, Prometheus and Epimetheus were given the job of creating humans. To lead the development of his creation, Prometheus stole the sacred fire from the gods and delivered it to the humanity. He already knew that the punishment will be on his way for such a crime. He also knew that the fate of his brother and their creation, humanity, is in danger and he advised him that: “ Epimetheus, my brother. My misfortune will not be enough to dodge zeus's anger. So, regardless, anything happens dont ever recieve any gifts from the gods. It is for the sake of our creation's safety.” 

Epimetheus thanked him for the advise and assured him that he would never accept any gifts from the gods.

Just as he predicted, Zeus strategized a plan against Epimeteus an the humanity. He ordered Hephaestus to nurture the first woman. He created the most gracious of the creatures. She was introduced to the gods, who gifted her different things. Aphrodite gave her the most gracious beauty, Hermes granted her the power of the word, the Charites gave her beautiful clothes and jewels. After all the gifts, Pandora turned into a magnificent creature. She was delivered to Epimetheus as a Gift. Before that, Zeus gave her a box and told her “ Take this gift from me and gibe it to Man, but u should not open it under any circumstances." And  she was off to Epimetheus.

Epimetheus was so dazed by Pandora's beauty, that he neglected his brothers advise about recieving any gifts from the gods. He gave Pandora her room in his palace and she sat there admiring the “BOX”. The curiosity rose in her mind about what could be in such a beautiful box. She gave in to her curiosity and took a look of what's inside. As she opened the box, a powerful pressure pushed her away and a black mist came out of that box. The mist was all the evils and sins that Prometheus did not gave humanity.

Until that moment, Man was pure and lived in a golden Age, with no needs and no conflicts, just pure happiness. But the box nurtured everyone with all sorts of evils that would hurt the humanity. Pandora tried to close the box and found out that every evil was already out if the box but “ Hope”. Hope was at the bottom. Hope gave strength to Man to not give in to these evils. With Hope, Zeus managed to  extend the punishment imposed on Men.
