● BURJ KHALIFA.
Obviously, Burj Khalifa will be in this list as it is the tallest building in the world. With 2,722 feet, this building has become very famous along with Dubai's growth. The architecural style used was Neo futurism. Before Burj Khalifa, Taipei 101 was the tallest building till 2009. And now, Jeddah Tower is expected to surpass Burj Khalifa being the first building to be over 1 km in height.
● Burj-al Arab.
Burj al Arab is situated on the Jumeirah Island, a man made island. It is one of the dubai's most iconic buildings. The structure's shape was initially designed to resemble the sail of a ship. The type of architecture used was the structural expressionism. The construction for this costed about 1 billion U.S. dollars. There are 56 floors with 3 below the ground. Tom Wright is the architect of this legendary masterpiece.
● The Cayan tower.
At first glance, it appears that this structure is twisting up out of the ground. Also known as the Infinity Tower, it is a 306 mt tall with about 75 stories. This skyscraper is built by Cayan Real Estate Investment and Development. The construction initially started in the year 2006 and lasted till 2013. It is the worlds tallest building with a twist of 90 degree.
● Atlantis, The Palm
It is a luxury hotel resort situated at the apex of the Palm Jumeirah in United Arab Emirates. The construction for this structure started in the year 2006 and completed in 2008. It is about 93 m with 22 floors. The resort is filled 1,548 rooms.
● The Opus.
A spectacular structure of Dubai by the legendary architect Zaha Hadid. This building has a balanced sharp lines of a glass cube with a void at its heart. It has about 93 rooms involving 15 bars and restaurants. A great design that fits the legacy of Hadid who was the first female architect to win the noble prize of architect, the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
