Two prisoners who were being treated for coronavirus at a Covid Centre in Bhiwandi escaped from the bathroom window
The incident took place on the 15th floor of the Tata Amantra COVID centre located at Ranjnoli on Bhiwandi-Kalyan bypass road. The escaped prisoners have been identified as Gajidara Jafri (25) and Khurshid Abdul Hamid Shaikh (33)
CRIME LOCATION
The officials have also suspended four cops on-duty for negligence.
At least 30 prisoners from the Adharwadi Jail in Kalyan had tested positive for COVID19 and most of them were being treated at Thane Civil Hospital. Later, Jafri and Shaikh tested positive on April 19, and they were taken for treatment on the 15th floor of the Centre at Bhiwandi-Kalyan bypass road.
