Hello my fellow bloggers👋👋😍😍…..I hope you all are fine… SO… Here I am, back with my another blog….Today in this blog I am gonna talk about the famous myth we all have heard in our life that BOYS DON'T CRY!! When we were kids and we use to cry ,,, we all have experienced that our parents or other family members use to scold our brothers that “You can't cry , u are a boy or don't cry like a girl ,you are a boy”.. And at that time we get angry that why they are saying these things to them not us….But now I am actually thinking that, is it right to make boys or men to suppress their emotions in this way ??? Is it right to think that men are some kind of robots not human being???NO…its not right…
You'd think women are the only ones cheated out of living up to their true selves-- boys are not allowed to be whole, either. They are in cages too. And this affects them psychologically .And when they are forced to comply with our culture's directions and expectations , and when some of them do not comply with these implications they succumbed to vulnerability or in some cases death..
Boys are trained to believe that the way to become a man is to objectify and conquer women, value wealth and power above all and suppress any emotions other than competitiveness and rage. Everything that makes a boy human is a “real man's ” dirty secret .Culture has made some innate masculine traits feminine-- traits like mercy, tenderness , kindness empathy, connection ,etc. Men are told, “Don't be these things, because these are feminine things to be. Be anything but feminine.”
But in actual there is no such thing as a femininity or masculinity. Femininity is just a set of human characteristics a culture pours into a bucket and slaps with the label “feminine”.
Human qualities are not gendered. What is gendered is permission to express certain traits.
Do not be a part of this misogynistic culture. Boys are just as human as girls. They need permission ,opportunities, and safe places to share their humanity. Try to encourage real, vulnerable conversations among your sons and their friends. Ask about their feelings, relationships ,hopes , and dreams . When they cry, don't stop them nor shame them. Let's help them to become adults who don't have to carry life alone.
If men can gently and consistently express the pain of being human, then violent release won't be their go -to option. The world will be a better place..
Its upon us now to bust this myth and make world a better place for both men and women, where they are allowed to show emotions not suppress them.
This is it for now guys,,, I really hope u all enjoy this blog…I tried something different today… STAY HAPPY,,STAY HEALTHY,, AND KEEP SHARING INFORMATION AS MUCH AS U CAN..
