HAPPY WITH FAMILY πͺ
πIt is important for a child to spend quality time with each member of her family. Make some time for your child everyday even if a busy schedule allows you to take out just ten minutes in a day for your child.
πThere should be some fun activities that a family indulges in together at home. Have a dance party once a week or once a fortnight, switch off the lights, put on some music and dance together. You can follow it up with pizza and fun food made at home!
πGo out together as a family to the park, a zoo, for a movie or to a restaurant.
πVisit relatives together and teach the value of family to your child.
πTake a paper and markers and create a family tree together. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, see how far you can go.
πIf you need to fight with your spouse do it after the kids have gone to bed! It is terribly upsetting for children to witness parents
fighting.
πParents should consult each other before giving any important instructions to their child-contradictory statements not only
confuse a child, but also encourage them to manipulate each parent to their advantage.
πInvolve your child in decisions regarding her extra-curricular activities, studies, etc. It will help her develop a sense of responsibility and boost her self-esteem.
πYou need to maintain a balance between being a friend and a parent to your child. While encouraging confidences and being open to new ideas, you should also stand by
the rules of behaviour and conduct that you believe in.
πDo not interfere in sibling relationships unless you absolutely have to. They will have their own methods of dealing with each other
and should not be encouraged to tattle.

HAPPY AT THE DINNER π½ TABLE
πDo not allow children to eat front of the television. Mealtimes, as far as possible, are for the family to sit and eat together.
πAll of you, including your child, should sit at the table till everyone finishes. Make this a time to talk about your day and theirs. Relax.
πAsk your child to help you lay the table and clear up after the meal.
πDo not get impatient if your child makes a mess--let her feed herself even though that may mean she does not eat exactly the way
you want her to.
πEncourage good table manners-they will stay with the child for the rest of her life.
πTeach your child to finish everything on her plate. Do not heap the plate right away you can always serve seconds.
πProvide a balanced diet. Do not make separate food for your child-she has to learn to eat what the rest of the family does.
πRemind your child to wash her hands and mouth before and after every meal.
πIf you go out for a meal make sure your child sits down and eats
with the adults withoutrunning around and disturbing others!
