The title is loss and Realization because it's always loss that comes first and realization later. You spend a lot and then realize maybe you should have been spending less. You lose time without studying and then realize maybe you should have studied earlier. You realize how important your health is only after you fall sick. You end a relationship and then realize maybe you could have been a little more understanding.
And till the time you realize, and want to rectify a mistake (or blunder), that you made, there's always changes made to the things you left the way you left it. It's never the same.
Why does it happen that way? Why do you have to lose and then realize? Why can't you be grateful and let the good things stay?
You must be thinking you'll do and find something better. Maybe you will. But how many times in life did you regret losing something good? And how many more times do you want to do it again?
Well, let's see it other way around. You don't realize because you lost something. You lose something because you don't realize it. I know this sounds absurd. But try to understand this coz I'm unable to put it in better words.
All I want to say is, you need to start being grateful for things you already have. Gratitude is a very underrated phenomenon. Gratitude can do wonders in life and also keep your mind happy and peaceful, provided you be grateful for each and every thing you have, even if it doesn't go as you wish. Every single thing.
A simple exercise that many preach is to remind yourself the things and moments you are grateful for every single day. You can be grateful about literally any thing, anyone, any moment. Big or small. You can be grateful for your health, good food, family, friends, or the moments when you felt happy. You can be grateful for a few minutes of pleasure, a laugh with a friend or quality time with family. You can be grateful for a pet's love. You need to write it down for yourself and keep reminding yourself of everything you are grateful for all throughout the day. Maybe then you can be happy about everything that you have and not lose it out of neglect.
Be happy with things you have and realize before it's too late.
Have a great day.
