Hello dear reader! Welcome to another food review! I know it's been a long time, owing to the fact that I have been very busy lately. I have mainly had time to study, finish record work, get my Dental Materials work approved and signed by the staff appoinnted for us, etc. Like what a hectic week*dramatic fall on the bed*!
Alright! Anyway, what I ordered for dinner was a frankie and fries. I know, weird option but this was within my budget. I would have ordered something for dessert, but we are provided with milk and fruits every night in the hostel.
And even though it is not a very healthy option, my cravings were deviating towards the junky section of edibles.
This time I swiggy'd from a place called Faasos. I have already ordered from Faasos once, but this was you guys. Anyway, it was a great meal!
It was a chicken tikka wrap or frankie. It was amazing!
I mean,
Correct spice - ✔︎
Lots of chicken - ✔︎
Fiills your stomach - ✔︎
It was fantabulous. The roti was roasted right, like not undercooked or burnt here and there.
Fun fact 1: Some people say chicken tikka was probably invented in Britain by a Bangladeshi chef.
Fun fact 2: The Changatai word ‘Tikka’ originates from the Turkic word ‘tikkü’ meaning chunk or piece. Appropriate for the number of chunks I got in that one wrap!
Fun fact 3: The flatbreads used for wraps are generally, wheat tortillas, lavash or pita. The filling is meat, fish, vegetables along with sauces and mayonnaise to make it all the more enjoyable.
Fun fact 4: Different names for wraps all over the world are frankie, kati roll, shawarma, tortilla, burrito, etc.
Now coming to the fries. Of course nothing can beat McD fries, but these fries were just as good. It came along with some origami that is equivalent to peri peri and tomato sauce. It was slightly a bit too salty though, but great to fill the remaining space in that organ that performs digestion.
Fun fact 1: These fried potato sticks are a beloved junk food. There can not be any one who has not heard of the world famous french fries that helps increase revenue for McDonald's year after year.
Fun fact 2: There is a museum dedicated to fries in Bruges, Belgium.
Fun fact 3: For the book worms who tend to grab a snack in the middle of a mystery, this one is for you. Charles Dickens first mentioned fries in his novel ‘Tale of Two Cities’.
Fun fact 4: Fries come in various shapes and sizes.
Anyway guys both these items came under a single meal. The price was Rs. 278.
