The Balanced Indian (Sweet And Spicy)

Welcome back fellow foodie! My cover pic is what I ordered for dinner last night. Oh but it was delish!! And it sure did calm down my wild cravings.

I don't think I've mentioned this before but I am a budding dentist studying in CSI Dental College, Madurai. Since I'm originally from Chennai, I have to stay in the hostel. And they provided noodles as the last meal of the day, but I stopped eating it around 10nth grade because it has maida and there's no point of having it especially if one of your goals is to maintain your weight.

So I did what every Indian does when unsupervised by your mother who would prefer it if you ate healthy food only. But hey, I order food once in a while. Of course I Swiggy'd it . From where? From this place called ‘Sandwich Club’. And the reason I'm referring to it as a ‘place’ is because I don't know if it is a restaurant or café.

I have already ordered from this place before, but never done a review, so here you go.

I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with crispy chicken filling for Rs.159. As you can see in the photo above, it's a whole roll sliced in half to make it easier for you to eat and enjoy the various flavours. ‘Yummy’ is an understatement and filled almost half my stomach (the organ). They weren't lying about the chicken being crispy.

Fun fact : Chicken wraps are good as they are loaded with lean proteins, vegetables, cheese, along with healthy carbs and fats.

This is to satify the spicy Indian. But I had to balance it out as the sweet Indian, therefore I ordered a white chocolate waffle with dark chocolate chips as the topping. The cost for this dessert was Rs. 178.

Man, but it was to die for. The white chocolate oozing from the sides of the waffle as I bit into it was just mmmm…(*hand movement* - you know which one I'm referring to). By the way dear reader, I didn't mean to make you drool. In that moment I thanked GOD for creating the person who invented waffles, who were apparently from ancient Greece, according to food experts. The chefs there, would roast flat cakes between metal plates fixed to long wooden handles. And it filled up the remaining space in my stomach. Waffles may not be as healthy as they are high in calories, fat and sugar, yet lack proteins and fiber, which is why I ordered a chicken wrap which has proteins and fiber.

Fun fact : The largest waffle weighs 50g, created by Stitchting Gouda Oogst from the Netherlands.

The total cost was around Rs.337 and taxes and a tip for the delivery partner, but I applied for a discount which helped me save Rs. 159, so I just Rs.230.

Dear reader, I appreciate you staying this long to read my first ever food review.
