Hi everyone, how many of you like dolphins? They are my favorite aquatic animals, in my view they are quite cute. In this blog I am gonna share some few interesting facts about my aquatic pet friend - DOLPHIN.
Not only are they the most kind and amiable animals, but they are also the smartest. Scientists believe dolphins rank second in the world, right after humans.
To define simply Dolphins are small-toothed cetaceans with curving mouths that give them a constant "smile" . Every ocean has one of the 36 species of dolphins. Living in the ocean or brackish waters along coastlines, dolphins are mostly marine animals.

Dolphins have been rescuing humans for thousands of years; the reason behind this is unknown. Numerous accounts of dolphins saving lives from predators, assisting drowning sailors, and navigating vessels through choppy waters date back to Ancient Greece. In or near water, the animal occasionally displays interest toward humans. Sometimes they bring injured divers to the surface for rescue.
But it's not limited to folklore from antiquity—it occurs frequently today.

Dolphins inhabit intricate social organizations and are exceptionally skilled communicators. These amazing animals converse with one another by echolocation, a type of sonar communication. Their main organ, the melon, is located inside their head. Dolphins use sonar waves that bounce off things in the water to "see" and hunt for their preferred prey, locate one another, or avoid obstacles. Dolphins get this information in their lower jaw, which uses it to construct a three-dimensional picture for them that includes details like item location and size. Dolphins are able to see not only their own echolocation but also that of every other dolphin in their pod.

Do you know how dolphins act with children? They truly give them entertainment akin to a circus act. Bottlenose dolphins are gregarious and lively animals that make friendships that endure for decades while they hunt, mate, and defend one another. They enjoy swimming around homemade bubble rings and surfing in the wakes of boats.

A bottlenose dolphin's teeth range from 72 to 104. Forever, they are only given one set of teeth! Dolphins use their teeth to grab food, then swallow it whole, as opposed to using them for chewing.

Dolphins are not fishes but they are mammals just like we are. Dolphins are warm-blooded, breathe air, give birth to live young, feed their young with milk. As I mentioned before, we have talked about several fascinating facts regarding our favorite aquatic mammal.

Thank you.
