‘History’s Most Expensive Mistake' let's look into it. So the country is America place Kennedy space center where all the scientist could be seen in a rush cause today is a very special day, today is the launch day of NASA's most ambitious interplanetary aircraft  Marina1 on Venus.

After getting everything double checked, exactly after 5min21sec the aircraft is launched. The launch was a success and now the aircraft is in the space but after 3min32sec the scientist get an idea that they will not be able to celebrate and after 5min its burst's in the space. There was no error in the rocket nor the calculations were wrong.

There is a code which decide's the trajectory (the path) of the spacecraft which has to be input in the computer. The code for Marina1 had an small yet a big mistake, R(radial velocity) should have had a dash over it which by mistake or the scientist forgot to add. Now let's not go to the details of the math, the bar or dash means MEAN/AVERAGE. Meaning the computer which had the coding done for the spacecraft had the code that if the rocket moves a little away/small deviation from it's path you should ignore it, suppose to the average not the exact path. Because they did not put up that bar the computer marked the exact path and not the mean and every time the rocket had a minor deviation the computer overcorrected it, which was not necessary. The computer took that small mistake seriously and kept on correcting the smallest change of the path. As a result the rocket started to spin with very high speed. Now because of such heavy spinning scientists had to press down a button which would cause the rocket to blast. They did this cause, if they did not the rocket to fall in some local region causing life damage. So they them self had to blast the rocket. WHY??
