Self-actualization Gave Me A Realization

Hello everyone!

Recently in my class, in one of the lectures, our professor gave us a self-actualization activity. In that activity, we had to write about our greatest accomplishment till now, one funniest moment, moments with friends, future goals, strengths, favorite food, learning, and challenges. And we all started writing everything. Everyone realized that how many of us have matured in the lockdown and have achieved something or the other. I feel most of matured through pandemic situations, and generally also, in this age, people start acknowledging the fact that they need to do something in life.

So, not getting distracted from my main topic, I will come back on what I have started this blog for. As I said, we got to know many new things about each other in class. We discussed each other's accomplishments, laughed when someone told their funny moments, but when it came to challenges, the situation became a little tensed.

As you all are also aware that pandemic was a tough time for many of us, and second wave came out to be more dangerous than the first one. And some people even lost their loved ones, or relatives. Some even faced financial issues because of the lockdown. So, when everyone started telling their challenges, it was so disturbing, and how do I say, it was difficult to not get affected when we heard each other's challenges. Many of us were on the verge of crying, some even cried.

That time, I realized that usually we think that our problems are the most terrible. But we think so because we don't know what others are going through. It might be that someone other around you is facing even bigger problem, but just doesn't share, and that's why you don't know about it. I also think sometimes that my problems are the most terrible ones than anyone else's, but that day I realized that we don't know what others might be going through, and still they have been strong in front of everyone, fighting with their problems alone, everyday. And that day, I decided that I will try to make people around me happy and comfortable. And will try to not crib about my problems all the time. Though for someone our problems might be small, but for us they might be difficult to face, but then you should not share your problems with such people. All I want to say is that never think that just because someone is smiling, they are happy. We all should know the power of empathizing with each other.

I hope you all don't have to go through tough situations, and even if such situations come, stay strong.

Thank you.
