You all know the story “slow and stead wins the race” which is the race between hare and  tortoise where tortoise won the race with its patience.

Now here is the next version of this story-the story you haven't heard.....

The hare gets disappointed after losing the race, contemplates his defeat and realizes that he lost the race due to being over-confident... He should have reached his destination and stayed.

The next day he challenges the tortoise again. The tortoise is full of confidence after winning the first race and instantly agrees.

Race happens, this time the hare runs non stop to the end, and beats the tortoise by a very big difference.

The story is yet to come..................

This time the tortoise does something thinking and he understands that the way it's racing right now can never win it.

He once again challenges the hare to a new race, but this time he asks to keep the race route accordingly. The hare gets ready.

And the race begins. The hare runs fast to the fixed place, but there's a fast edge river flowing in that way, poor hare has to stop there. The tortoise gets there slowly walking, crosses the river comfortably and wins the race by reaching the goal.

The story still remains.................. 

After so much racing now the tortoise and the hare became good friends and started understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses. Both together thought that if we support each other we can win any race easily.

So both decided to run the last race together, but this time decided to work not as a competitor but as a team.

Both stood on the starting line.... Get set go.... And immediately the hare picked up the tortoise and started running fast. Both made it to the river soon. Now it was the tortoise's turn, the tortoise put the hare on its back and both crossed the river comfortably. Now once again the hare tortoise ran to the finishing line and together completed the race in record time. Both were very happy and satisfied, they have never been so happy after winning a race before today.

Moral of the story: Team work is always better than individual performance. 

Here's something more to pay attention. Both the hare and the tortoise did not sit down disappointed after their defeat, but they tried to understand the situation and set themselves up for the new challenge. Where the hare worked harder after his defeat, the tortoise turned his strategy to turn his defeat into victory.

When ever you fail either work harder or change your strategy or both, but never disappoint defeat as your last... Victory can be achieved even after the greatest defeat...
