Why Do We Cry?

Hello everyone! In this blog is about crying……

Stress:

When we feel stressed out it's hard not to cry. When we're stressed our bodies releases a hormone called cortisol. We know what happens if we don't release this hormone; our blood pressure goes down, our immune system is weakened, and we have a higher risk of heart disease. The good news is that you can control cortisol levels through breathing techniques.

Anxiety/Depression:

Anxiety and depression can make us cry. In fact, they often cause tears because we become emotionally overwhelmed. However, these feelings aren't all bad and can actually help us cope with situations that seem overwhelming. Anxiety and depression can also be caused by physical conditions, such as chronic pain or PTSD. It's important to note that some people who experience anxiety and depression may still cry at times even though they don't feel sad, angry, frustrated, or lonely.

Sadness:

Sadness is a feeling that causes a lot of tears. A study published in the Journal of Health Psychology showed that sadness makes it harder for people to stop crying. Researchers asked participants to watch videos showing sad scenes. Those in the group taught how to regulate their emotions cried less than those who were not given any instruction.

Loneliness:

Loneliness is another emotion that can lead to tears. We've all been there before — sitting around watching movies alone while eating junk food. Loneliness can have similar effects to sadness because they both affect our mood negatively. Our body responds to loneliness by triggering the same hormones that it does when we're sad. This means that we might start crying without realizing why!

Loss:

Any loss, big or small, will cause us to shed tears. Whether its a breakup or someone passing away, losing something you love can make us deeply emotional. Tears allow us to process our emotions and reflect on what we have lost. Crying helps us heal from losses so that we don't get stuck in them.

Anger:

Anger is a natural reaction to lose something we value. If we're having a bad day, it's normal for us to react to things that upset us. Sometimes we get so mad that we start yelling and crying at the same time. While anger can trigger tears, it can also help us relieve them. That's because anger triggers a physiological response that releases chemicals in our brain which reduce negative feelings.

Happiness:

Happiness is an amazing thing. It's contagious, meaning that once you find happiness, you want to share it with others. But, sometimes when we experience happiness, it doesn't last long. When we're happy, tears appear in our eyes because joy spreads the chemical oxytocin throughout our bodies. Oxytocin feels good, so when we laugh, smile, and cry, we create a positive feedback loop that brings more happiness.

Thank you…….
