Tips For A Less Sweaty Summer

Hello everyone! In this blog is about less sweaty summer…..

Don't overheat your house:

The first thing to consider is where you're going to live. If you are planning on staying indoors all day long, then you should take steps to lower the temperature inside your home, especially if you have windows that open. There are several ways to do this. First of all, don't leave your curtains open. This creates an environment that encourages sweat and humidity, making it harder to stay cool at home. Try to close the blinds before you go into the bedroom and turn down the air conditioning unit. You can also try using fans and opening doors to let some fresh air flow through.

Keep your feet dry:

This may seem obvious but if your feet are wet then you are going to get damp and that means sweating! If possible wear shoes that don’t allow water into your footbeds.

Use cold drinks :

Drinking cold fluids like ice tea or lemonade can actually help to reduce heat loss through your skin. Cold drinks also help to lower your body temperature making you feel slightly more comfortable.

Avoid wearing cotton clothes :

Cotton absorbs sweat and becomes heavy so they will only make you hotter. Opt for natural fibres instead if you want to stay cool.

Don't over-wet yourself:

A little sweat won't kill you but if you are sweating excessively then you can become dehydrated. Try to limit the amount of water you drink everyday and try to keep yourself at a good hydration level throughout the day. Water should be consumed regularly throughout the day but don't worry about drinking before bedtime either. Your body needs to rest after working hard.

Wear light colors:

Wearing white is not always your best choice as you can get sweaty too easily. If you need to wear a lot of black, choose something lighter than cotton/polyester blends. You may want to consider wearing some sort of material that has perspiration wicking properties like silk, bamboo, etc…

Keep the windows open:

It's tempting to close the windows in the summertime, but doing this makes your house hot and uncomfortable! By keeping the windows open, you'll avoid having to use your air conditioner and save money on energy bills. Of course, if you're planning to go away on holiday, make sure you leave the window open before you leave. You might find yourself staying longer than planned!

Thank you….
