Hello everyone! In this blog is about good and bad sugar…

Bad sugars :

Bad Sugars: Refined sugars are ones that are processed beyond their natural state. These refined sugars have been altered chemically during processing and may not be fully digested. When they are ingested, they cause a spike in blood sugar levels and then crash causing headaches, irritability, and fatigue.

Refined sugars are often added to foods as sweeteners to add flavor and make food palatable. White rice is a great example of refined sugar.

Other examples include table sugar (sugar), corn syrup (syrup), brown sugar (brown sugar), high-fructose corn syrup, dextrose, agave nectar, honey, molasses, candy, chocolate, ice cream, pastries, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, waffles, soda, and sports drinks.

Good sugars :

Good Sugars: Unrefined sugars are unprocessed and unaltered. They retain much of their original structure; however, these sugars do not necessarily taste as sweet. Examples of unrefined sugars include raw sugar, turbinado sugar, coconut sugar, demerara sugar, muscovado sugar, date sugar, honey, maple syrup and molasses.

Raw sugar is a granulated white sugar that hasn't gone through refining processes. Turbinado sugar is pure cane sugar that's coarsely ground. Demerara sugar is a dark brown sugar made from the outer shell of the sugarcane.

Muscovado is a darker variety of brown sugar and is derived from the center portion of the sugar cane. Coconut sugar is an unrefined brown sugar made from the sap of palm trees. Date sugar is simply dried dates and is commonly known as Medjool date. Honey is a liquid extracted from flowers and produced by bees. Maple syrup is a clear viscous substance produced by boiling down the sap of maple trees. Molasses is a thick, dark brown syrup obtained by boiling down the extract of sugarcane.

Bad Sugar Examples: Brown sugar, white sugar, corn syrup, regular table sugar, cane juice, honey-cane juice, sucrose..

Good Sugar Examples: Honey, molasses, maple syrup, agave nectar, dates..

Cane Sugar:

Cane sugar is the most popular form of sugar found in packaged foods, baked goods, and some soft drinks.

Honey :

Honey is often considered a healthier alternative to cane sugar because it is harvesting naturally from bee hives and has some nutritional value.

Brown rice syrup :

Brown rice syrup or malt syrup is derived by breaking down the starches in cooked rice.

Fruits :

All fruits contain some amount of naturally occurring sugars, or fructose. Some fruits, like bananas, are higher in sugar than others, like berries.

Coconut sugar :

Coconut sugar, or palm sugar, is a sweetener derived from the sap of the palm tree.
