Fact 1:

Women menstruate once a month for roughly 30 days (or approximately 400 times) over their lifetime. However, only half of these cycles produce bleeding. The other half go unnoticed and are known as “spotting”.

Fact 2:

Women are more likely to die young. Women over 60 years old are three times more likely to die than men of the same age. While men tend to live longer, women tend to die younger.

Fact 3:

When menstruating, the cervix normally opens to allow menstrual flow. If the cervix remains closed, the result may be a buildup of pressure, causing cramps and backache.

Fact 4:

Women's bodies produce fewer white blood cells than men. White blood cells help fight infections. Men tend to have higher numbers of them than women.White blood cells number is determined by sex hormones and age.

Fact 5:

Women don't sweat as much. The average woman sweats around 8 ounces per day while the average man sweats 30 - 40 ounces per day. However, if exercising intensely for a long period of time, sweating increases dramatically.

Fact 6: 

Women have smaller brains. Human brain volume varies according to gender. A full grown adult male human brain weighs 1,400 grams, whereas a full grown adult female human brain weights only 1,100 grams. On average, males have larger brains than females.

Fact 7: 

About 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage, or fetal loss before 20 weeks gestation. Miscarriages are often caused by chromosomal abnormalities or maternal age.

Fact 8:

Breast milk contains high concentrations of iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. Breastfed babies need less iron supplementation than formula fed babies. Breastfed babies have higher immunity and fewer ear infections and respiratory illnesses.

Fact 9:

Women have longer menstrual cycles.A woman will start menstruating normally at 11 years old to 13 years old. Menstruation starts at puberty and lasts between 2 to 5 days.

Fact 10 :

Women have less testosterone than men. Women have 10% less testosterone than men, but still have enough to keep their sex drive. This is due to estrogen making up 80-90% of female testosterone.

Fact 11:

Men have more muscle mass.Men have approximately 25% more muscle mass than women. Muscles act as energy producers and release energy in bursts called contractions. When women get pregnant they gain weight around the stomach area because muscle grows there. But during pregnancy, muscles decrease in size.
