Hello everyone! In this blog is about newborn……

Newborns' ears tend to close up as they mature. This helps keep them warm. As we age, our ears tend to stay open. This keeps us cooler and prevents water loss.

Babies have no sense of taste until they are about 30 weeks old. Babies start tasting foods starting at 16 weeks old, but they don't really enjoy certain tastes until 32-36 weeks.

After a baby is born, her hands and feet are covered with fine hair called lanugo. Lanugo falls off over the course of several weeks.

Infants can hear sounds down to 200 Hz. Sounds below 500 Hz won't affect them unless they're extremely loud. Sounds above 1 kHz are heard more easily.

Baby’s vision isn't fully developed until they reach 6 months old. Before then, they use smell, touch, and motion, and may even rely on visual clues to learn things.

If a mother smokes marijuana during pregnancy, she could expose her unborn child to harmful chemicals in the drug. Marijuana smoke contains carcinogens, heavy metals, and toxins that could harm a fetus.

Babies love to suck! Sucking is how they develop teeth and lips. It also stimulates the digestive system, helps them breathe properly, and gives them something to focus on.

Babies have a hard time breathing underwater. To make matters worse, the pressure changes as their head grows larger. Water expands when submerged. So the airway becomes narrower, causing increased difficulty in breathing.

Babies who are breastfed get sick more frequently than bottle fed babies. Breastfed babies can contract pneumonia, diarrhea, ear infections, and urinary tract infections, whereas bottle fed babies aren't nearly as prone to these conditions.

A newborn baby's body temperature is normally between 97.8 - 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit (36-37 degrees Celsius).

At birth, a baby weighs anywhere between 5 and 7 pounds (2.3 and 3 kg), depending on whether he/she was born naturally or via cesarean section.

Newborn babies have skin covered by fine hair called lanugo. They are pink, red or purplish due to blood circulation around their bodies. Their eyes open at 6 weeks after birth.

Babies' ears are closed until they reach 2 months old. They close only when a parent squeezes them forcefully.

Newborn babies lose their first teeth between 4 and 6 weeks of age. Teeth start growing again between 6 and 9 months of age.

Babies' lungs take 3 days to fully develop and are ready to function.

Babies do not sweat until they are 1 year old.
