Love is unconditional:

Love is something that comes from within. No matter what happens in your life, you will always be able to fall back on this feeling. There is nothing that can change this. This is true for both men and women. We often hear stories where someone fell in love and then later they were separated, but they still loved each other. They may even have dated others, but never stopped loving their partner.

You do not need to meet your future spouse to fall in love:

You don't have to spend any time together to fall in love. People often say that they only realize they love someone after they've known them for a while. However, this isn't necessarily true. As long as you feel comfortable around this person, you could be falling in love.

Trust:

Trust plays a huge role in any relationship. Research shows that trust is one of the most important factors in determining whether or not a couple will stay together. Researchers at Cornell University found that people are more likely to trust others who are similar to themselves. For example, if you’re extroverted, your friends are likely to be outgoing. Likewise, introverts gravitate towards other introverts.

Love is blind:

Love is blind. We cannot tell what someone else thinks about us until we actually ask them. Until then, we assume they think well of us. In fact, we often try to impress others by hiding our flaws. This makes sense from an evolutionary perspective because it helps us attract mates.

Love is irrational:

We act on emotions rather than logic. We put off making decisions until we feel better. One study showed that people were willing to wait longer to receive a bigger reward than to spend time alone. So if you want to spend quality time with your partner, don't let the fear of rejection stop you and don't pressure him or her into doing something he or she doesn't want to.

Love changes:

You might think that you're the same person today as you were yesterday. And yet, when you fall in love, you suddenly change. Your personality becomes different. You become more confident, assertive, and outgoing. When you first met your partner, you may have felt shy around him or her. Now, you can hold conversations with ease because you know that he or she will never judge you. You enjoy spending time with your loved one because he or she makes you laugh and smile. You feel happy just thinking about your future with him or her.

Love hurts sometimes - but it makes us stronger:

In order for two people to learn from their mistakes together, they need to experience heartbreak. This helps them understand what drives them. They learn how to overcome obstacles and how to work through problems.
