Hello everyone! In this blog is about Diwali celebration….

Diwali is not only celebrated as the festival of lights, it's also a great time to reflect upon our lives, look at ourselves with humility, and learn how much we have achieved. It's truly a day where we should take pride in what we've done.We have evolved over the years, faced challenges and triumphantly overcome them - we need to acknowledge these achievements.

Ancient Origins:

The word “Diwali” comes from two words- diya (lamp) and vali (time). It was first celebrated in India around 2,000 years ago. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil. On this day people worship Lord Rama, the hero of Hindu epic Ramayana. He killed Ravana, the demon king who abducted his wife Sita. Diwali marks the end of the festival season of Holi, which means ‘the colorful spring.’

Spiritual Significance:

People believe that lighting a lamp is symbolic of bringing enlightenment to others. When the oil lamps were lit at home, it encouraged family members to spend time together and share their thoughts and feelings.

Celebrations:

Diwali is a festival of lights where families get together to enjoy food, sweets and gifts. Traditionally, Indians decorate the house with beautiful lights called “diyas.” Children play games and adults tell stories while dancing around crackers that explode with joy. Families prepare special dishes like sweet laddus and savory snacks.

Festive Colors:

Diwali celebrates the triumph of good over evil. People in India wear bright colors like red, orange, yellow, green, blue and silver, all symbols of good luck.

A Family Affair:

For Hindus, Diwali is an opportunity to invite guests to join them in celebrating. Many families host lavish parties with friends and neighbors. Indian cuisine is prepared using fresh ingredients grown in their backyards.

Gifts & Greetings:

It's not only fun and exciting to celebrate this festival with family and friends; it's also a great way to give gifts! You may choose to donate cash or goods. Donating money is especially meaningful at this time of year, as it helps someone else have a happy holiday. Giving a gift is an act of love and generosity.

Happy Ending:

Every celebration ends with fireworks. In Bengaluru (India), people gather near lakes and rivers, watching spectacular displays. Everyone enjoys the show until midnight, when they return home and cook hearty meals.

Conclusion:

Celebrating Diwali is about sharing happiness with family and friends. It isn't just a religious tradition – it's a celebration of humanity. Happy holidays!

Thank you….
