Moisturize your face:
If you are trying out some home remedies to help you get rid of dark eye-circles, then make sure that you moisturize your face. Your skin needs moisture to heal properly and to stay healthy.When your skin lacks moisture, it tends to dry up and become irritated, resulting in what we call “dark eye circles.”To combat this situation,apply a hydrating cream(or lotion) twice per day.
Eat plenty of vegetables:
In the past years, we have been advised that our diet should include lots of fruits and veggies, especially spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, carrots, beans, etc... But this is not enough! We need to provide our body with a wide range of vitamins and minerals, so it can make the best use of them.This way, we would avoid those dark bagsunder our eyes.
Reduce stress:
Stress plays a major role in causing those dark circles under your eyes -- both physical and emotional. Try meditating or doing some yoga to reduce stress levels.These activities may not seem like much but they'll do wonders for your overall health and beauty routine.
Hydrate your skin:
First thing's first! Start hydrating your skin immediately after waking up in the morning. If possible, drink at least eight glasses of water throughout the day (8-10 if you are really active) while avoiding sugary drinks.You should also make sure that you're getting enough magnesium. Magnesium helps keep your muscles relaxed and can help treat insomnia.
Remedies for dark circles :
1.Using a cotton ball, dab a little lemon juice on the dark circles from time to time. Lemon juice has bleaching properties that lightens the discoloration.
2.Take a few drops of aloe vera gel mixed with coconut oil and apply it directly on the dark circle area once a day. Aloe Vera contains anti-inflammatory agents that help reduce redness and swelling.Coconut Oil is rich in Vitamin E, which is known to help slow down the aging process, making it suitable for treating dark circles.
3.Potato – Use the potato method to get rid of dark circles.Rub a raw potato on your eyes for about five minutes at least once a day.
4.Almond Oil – Take a cotton ball soaked in almond oil and place over your closed eyelids for 5-10 minutes.This promotes blood circulation and helps with detoxifying the skin.
5.Use cucumber slices to cover dark circles. Cucumbers are known to reduce puffiness around the eyes due to their high water content.Simply slice the cucumber into thin strips, then apply them to your face over the dark circles. Leave on overnight.
