Hello everyone! In this blog is about benefits of ice cubes…
They cool the skin down:
When ice cubes touch the skin, they release moisture into the air. This helps keep your skin hydrated and soft.
Moisturizing:
Ice packs work great for moisturizing dry, cracked lips and chapped skin, providing both cooling relief and moisture. Just place several ice cubes into a clean plastic bag or zip top freezer bag and use a towel to apply the cold pack directly to the affected area. Use the ice pack until it melts completely, then immediately remove it from contact with the skin. If your child has cuts or abrasions that need to be cleaned, you can make an ice pack using a clean washcloth, dampened with water and a dab of anti-bacterial soap. Remove the ice pack as soon as it starts to melt, let it air dry, then reapply a new layer of ice if necessary.
Reducing inflammation:
Although ice packs don't prevent inflammation, they do help control it. Inflammation occurs when the body's immune system sends white blood cells to injured sites, causing swelling, heat, and redness. In some cases, these symptoms may worsen over time, leading to a condition called pyoderma gangrenosum. An ice pack can help treat this type of inflammation by cooling down the affected area.
Cold temperatures can cause blood vessels to constrict:
This increases circulation and helps remove toxins from the body. We use this effect topically by applying ice to the face after washing, before bedtime (or anytime!) and while sleeping to help flush out impurities from the pores.
Ice is great to open clogged pores:
Applying ice to your freshly washed face can help open up clogged pores. Just remember to only use ice as a last resort though! If you’re experiencing extreme acne then try using a hot compress instead.
Relaxation :
Ice baths are a quick way to relax and decompress. While soaking in a tub of warm water, add ice to experience the soothing relief of cold.
Ice is great for treating acne:
In the summer months, people tend to have lots of breakouts. When we are not washing our skin properly, bacteria build up and can cause us to breakout more than usual. An easy home remedy that helps clear out pores is ice! Apply ice cubes directly to blemishes for 10 minutes and rinse away. This can help dry out pimples faster and reduce inflammation.
Your face looks younger:
Ice packs are used widely throughout the medical field to promote healing. However, they are also used to decrease swelling and inflammation around the eyes, nose, lips, chin, cheeks, forehead, back of the neck, and even under the armpit. Ice packs work by cooling down blood vessels around these areas to make them appear smaller and less red.You can use this simple technique at home to treat sunburns, bruises, and insect bites. Remember to remove any tape you might be wearing before applying the cold pack.
