Manjummel Boys - Event Cinemas

Manjummel Boys is not your typical friendship movie; it is packed with survival horror elements. This is it if you're searching for a well-made survival movie. It's a visual wonder with excellent narrative, character development, editing, acting, and excitement throughout. Writer and director Chidambaram has done an amazing job, from skillfully establishing the setting—which is almost decades ago—to portraying the characters and their reactions to the situations authentically and ensuring that the plot flows naturally. With an ensemble cast, it's very easy for people to get lost in the mix, but thanks to careful writing and editing, every character is remembered and their feelings are made clear for the audience to see, even in the midst of a busy scene. The rescue scene wasn't long enough, and the first few minutes of the movie were a little strange, but that was my one and only minor complaint. When their trek to Kodaikanal commences, the film picks up. The rescue scene might have appeared dull or even made the audience shudder, but directors Chidambaram and Shyju Khalid have made sure that instead of making the audience feel suffocated or bored, they allow them to enjoy the excitement of those moments. The tight quarters, the degree of danger, and the amount of work required for a successful rescue are all effectively depicted without resorting to over-dramatization. There were also some very strong scripted and acting moments. The first was a surprise. Everyone was waiting for this moment to happen, but when it did, both the audience and the characters gasped in surprise. The characters' responses, especially Deepak Parambol and Soubin's, and Deepak's subsequent response to the entire scenario, were masterfully performed. The film's main cast is exceptional since they were all in their element, as evidenced by Chandu Salimkumar's reaction, which was conveyed beautifully. No member of the cast gave a poor performance. There is an extremely intriguing comparison between the seemingly unimportant event later on in the story as Sreenath lifts his leg and peers down to the cave. The fall, the awakening, and Sreenath's first response when Soubin touches him are, in reality, goosebumps in the making. There is a change of pace to start the second half. It's more of a metaphor for what really occurred in the Guna Caves, and it was masterfully executed there with the young actors, which let the audience empathize with the people and their emotional states. It runs smoothly. There are no unbelievable scenes in the way the rescue is carried out, how those around them respond, how they return, or how the incident's true nature is discovered.
