The movie synopsis of Blue Star states that the rivalry between the captains of two opposing cricket teams goes beyond the game as they negotiate the cutthroat world of local cricket in Arakkonam.
Review of the film Blue Star: Two neighborhood cricket teams from the village of Arakkonam have a falling out in Blue Star. A contest between the two teams is hinted at right at the start of the movie, giving viewers the impression that it would center around that one match. Surprisingly, though, the first half of this highly anticipated cricket match occurs well before the half.
The fact that Blue Star is a movie about more than just who wins or loses is its strongest feature. Because of this, the movie might not be suitable for people who think that a film should have a singular focus. Throughout Blue Star's over three-hour duration, director S Jayakumar delves into more than just the romantic lives of the movie's lead character, Ranjith (Ashok Selvan). Even Ranjith's sibling experiences his own romantic tale. Even the mentor, who is portrayed by the poignant Bagavathi Perumal, had a devastating memory of his own.
All things considered, Blue Star is a movie where you get what you see. It's an uncomplicated story that presents the facts without attempting to be clever. Although the video doesn't have a lot of subtle writing, it is quite clear about what it is attempting to express and makes sure that everyone who views it knows it. However, it must be acknowledged that Blue Star's attempt to oversimplify everything on screen hasn't been entirely successful.
Jayakumar ensures that the viewer comprehends the protagonist's tragic situation and the humiliation he endures. He uses mouthing dozens of sentences from characters that belittle our hero and his buddies in order to do this. The conversation seems to need a thorough edit and a complete halt, even when we can clearly feel the characters' anguish.
Every actor in the cast is a strong performer. Even though Ashok Selvan plays the part well, his overt brownface is, to put it mildly, distracting. Nonetheless, his performance is flawless. Ashok is one of the few actors in their thirties who can carry off playing a teenager, but it comes naturally to him.
As expected, his chemistry with the gorgeous Keerthi Pandian is fantastic. As the captain of the opposing side, Rajesh, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj is sincere. Shanthanu has a smile that makes you want to smile back, and the filmmaker makes the most of Shanthanu's honesty. In addition, Saju Navodaya stands out in his limited screen time.
The music composed by Govind Vasantha is the undisputed star of Blue Star, aside from the cast. A film with a strong sports theme can't be fully achieved without the stirring atmosphere that the background music contributes so much to.
