Radiotherapy : Tumours cells are irradiated by lethal does of radiation while protecting the surrounding normal cells
Chemotherapy : Several chemotherapy drugs are used to kill cancer cells. But their side effects like hair loss, anaemia are also reported.
Immunotherapy : Biological response modifiers like alpha - interferons are used to activate the immune system and help in destroying the tumour.
