Cast: Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Rashmika Mandanna, and Vijay

Thalapathy Vijay delivered a polished performance and is back in his element. He hadn't recently appeared in a legitimate family drama, and the actor nailed his one-liners, punchlines, and on-screen persona in the movie. His comic timing was spot on, and Vijay is as beautiful in heartfelt scenes.Another commercial movie stars Rashmika Mandanna, who gets along well with Vijay. The actress is quite animated on screen.A prodigal son is forced to prove his mettle and bring his fractured family back together after his terminally sick father puts him in charge of his business enterprise.Reliable sources claim that "Varisu" is based on the character "Largo Winch," who was developed more than forty years ago.Vijay is all guns blazing in this commercial concoction, right from the word go. He doles out 'mass' punch dialogues in gay abandon, does energetic high-octane stunts, dances like a dream and brings the house down with dollops of comedy, sometimes on his own and at other times, in the able company of the family cook Kicha (Yogi Babu).

The male actors have played their parts well, including the impressive cameos by SJ Suryah and VTV Ganesh. We sincerely wish that both the actors had a longer screen presence. However, the film's ladies do not have much to contribute to the goings-on, except the matriarch of the house played by Jayasudha, who wants to keep the flock together (the tried-and-tested onscreen mother who sacrifices everything for the family). Rashmika doesn't have much to do in the film either and so is her character's romance with Vijay, which is light-hearted, but doesn't seem to go anywhere. The women characters should have been fleshed out better.

The well-liked OTT platform has revealed the precise day that "Varisu" will be available for streaming. The breathtaking background of "Varisu" perfectly illustrates the value of family and how challenges to relationships also test the genuine strength of those very bonds. But a theatre in Tamil Nadu has shown a fan-made movie of "Thalapathy 67," and the well-produced piece has shocked viewers. According to Pinkvilla, Thalapathy Vijay charged Rs 125 crore for his most recent film, Varisu. The story is set in an affluent family's (Sarathkumar's) spacious estate, where business tycoon Rajendaran Palanichamy (Sarathkumar) must decide who would be the rightful heir to his empire. In the end, the message is unmistakable: The silence and protection of every family.

In the end, the message is clear: Every family is upheld by the silencing and erasure of its women. Behind every victorious Varisu lies a million women's dead dreams and happiness.
