It is mentioned many times in the newspapers that the NGO working for the children rescued the child labor, and the NGO dedicated to women's safety helped the victim of domestic violence….  Much such news keeps coming about NGOs working in different fields.  These NGOs are organizations that work for a specific purpose.  People who wish to do something for society start NGOs to institutionalize it.

According to the United Nations, the most essential element of an NGO is that it is a non-commercial, non-governmental, non-profit organization and is associated with humanitarian values.  Two main elements are necessary for an NGO and they are- it should have the capacity to implement its plans.  Secondly, he should also be ready to take responsibility for his actions.

Opening an NGO:-

People who have been working for society for a long time are seriously considering opening an NGO.  Carrying out your tasks organically helps you to gather interested people in this direction, as well as make it easier to raise funds for the same.  An organization with a strong workforce and knowledge of legal things can do well.

Transparency is necessary: -

NGOs get exemptions in taxes.  To run the NGO smoothly, there should be transparency in its work.  Once the grant starts, keep full details of the money received, expenses, etc.  This record must be audited at the end of the financial year.  Keep NGO accounts and personal accounts separate.

Many Sectors, Many NGOs:-

There are many NGOs operating in India today, which are working for improvement in various sectors.  Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Save the Children and Pratham are prominent among the organizations working for children's rights and education.  Similarly, there are many NGOs working for senior citizens like Helpage India.  There are also NGOs for women's rights.

Have a purpose: -

To start an NGO, first of all, you should have a purpose related to the public interest.  The founder should have his objectives in writing so that he knows the goal of his organization and can tell about it to the people joining it.  It would be better if you work with an NGO to know the clarity of the goal along with the possibilities in the particular area.

Required Legal Aspects:-

Openers of NGOs often hire legal advisors.  Now first of all the NGO has to be registered.  In India, this registration is done under the Indian Trusts Act, Societies Registration Act and the Companies Act.  Before registration, you have to choose a, and logo, which has not been taken by any similar organization or agency in India before.

Operating properly: -

The operation of NGOs is related to social work and to fulfill these responsibilities fully, they have to work in coordination with government agencies, other NGOs, media, the corporate sector, etc.  Keep adding volunteers and professionals to your organization.  Keep evaluating their work as well.
