Once a teacher enters the classroom with an empty jar and some other items and kept on the table in front of the whole class.
As the class begins, he just started to fill the jar with rocks. Then he asked the students, “Is the jar filled?". All the students agreed and said “yes”.
The teacher then picked up some pebbles and started dropping them into the jar. Then he shook the jar lightly. The pebbles covered the rest empty spaces between the rocks.
Again he asked the students "Is the jar filled?" They all agreed.
Then he brings a bag of sand and started pouring it into the jar.
For the last time, he asked all the students “Is the jar filled?”
Naturally, the whole class said, “Yes sir the jar is now filled”.
The professor started to explain his activity to the students.
"Dear students, I want to say you all something today very important. This jar represents your life. The big rocks represent your family, soulmates, loved ones, children, health. Everything will be lost but they will remain and help you out in your difficult times. Your life will be still full of them.
Pebbles represent all the other necessities of your life like a job, car, house.
Sand represents all the small stuff that happens in your life like parties, entertainment, etc.
Now it defines the priority that you need to choose. If you put sand first in your jar, the rocks and pebbles will not get any space in it. If you spend a lot more time on small stuff then what about your family, job? You will never get that lovely room for your loved ones that is important to you.
Pay attention to your family first, prioritize your life. Spend time with your family and friends first. Take out your loved ones to their favorite places. Read books and gain some knowledge.
Give your parents a good dinner party. By doing all this you will have a healthy life and can see many changes in your life.
Then give priority to your small stuff which can be addon in your daily life.
Success never defines only your career. It defines a win overall aspect of your life. To grow in your life you have to grow yourself first. So focus on rocks first, then focus on the sand."
Thanks all for reading till the end.
