Society Or Jungle? Values V/s Society

A person must be free. In this world – trees are free, insects and all others are free. No insect is tied to a particular person in a particular manner. But humans – have a different concept - ‘Society’. Sometimes this society benefits and sometimes it repels. For example – When a baby is born – parents take care of it, which surely benefits the child – but after a certain period of time child is punished, child is judged, child is compared. Sometimes it goes other way – Parents take care of the child and then child leaves them in their most vulnerable time (Old age) Old age surprises me it breaks – of the person. I can do this, I can do that. But old age shows – you can’t even digest your food without medicine. Your body parts starts misbehaving one by one. Sometimes I think – this vulnerability and helplessness in some situations gave birth to society. Earlier people used to respect the society, their role and their work. Nowadays - People boast about their hardwork, but there is not a single creature which don’t work for it’s hunger, but human boasts. Society have harsh working world on the other hand jungle have uncertain days filled with hunger, threat and other sort of things. I never heard a lion saying “I WORK HARD FOR MY STOMACH” It just simply hunts and eats. And these thoughts gave rise to a new question inside me.

Why do parents scold for not working & earning after a certain age – Is it their care for the child or is it their pain that says “You enjoy what we sacrifice”. And if this is the matter then is it their care? Love? Duty? Investment?

If it’s love – then in this modern world, meaning of love is changed. I always thought love make a person stronger and gives confidence. But now, in this hook up culture in the name of love we only have mental issues, How can a person hate someone whom he/she used to love? Love is flawless – it’s that candle which gives light to everyone and get’s burnt itself. It sacrificing oneself – which gives joy and happiness in return.
If it’s duty then I think – it’s parent’s duty to provide child with good manners, education and empowering him, but it’s not parent’s duty to tell the child (YOU NEED TO EARN IN ORDER TO EAT). It’s common sense.

If it’s just boasting then how can we say that OLDER PEOPLE HAVE WISDOM. If being older is a necessary condition for having wisdom then I don’t think Swami Vivekanand Ji should be praised.
