25 Greatest Natural Wonders Of The World - Part 5

As Ralph Waldo Emerson says, “Do not follow where the path may lead.Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

So with this here comes the final installment of a 5 part series :

Victoria Falls

Also known as “The smoke that thunders”, “The place of the rainbow” and also “boiling waters” is located on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, somewhere in southern Africa.

The falls are neither the highest nor the widest when treated alone but when combined they beat Niagra Falls by massive margins. There are a total of six gorges where the water falls and they vary in both width and height.

Grand Canyon

The grand canyon is built by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The grand canyon is 446 km long and 29 km wide and at places reaches a depth of 1857 meters.

The Grand Canyon is basically a river valley built over a really long course of time and is known for its beautiful and colorful landscape. The grand canyon's tourism is always booming, the national park surrounding it receives almost five million visitors in a year.

Ha Long Bay

The name Ha Long literally means “descending dragon”. The bay features limestone karts in varying shapes and sizes. Ha Long Bay has an astonishing area of around 600 square miles and is located in Vietnam.

The bay consists of a dense cluster of some 1600 limestone monolithic islands. It also has thick jungle vegetation rising spectacularly but some of the risings are hollow from inside.

Amazon Rainforest

Amazon Rainforests are also known as the lungs of the earth but it is a very big misunderstanding. According to recent reports scientists estimate that close to 9% of the world's oxygen is produced by the rainforest and 6% is consumed by the forests themselves. Nonetheless, they are amazingly beautiful and contain many species which is still a mystery for scientists and common people alike.

The Pink Dolphin, you would have never seen this before.

The rainforest covers an astonishing area of 55 lakh square kilometers and spans across 9 countries (if you want to know they are Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador,  France, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela). Sad but true we humans are in the business of destroying nature for our personal gains, as of 2018 18% of the forest has been destroyed.

Serengeti Migration

As the name suggests it is the largest migration of animals. Every year around 2 million animals migrate in a clockwise direction around the Serengeti which is located in Tanzania and also covers some parts of Kenya as well.

The animals include wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. It is a sight to behold and happens over a period of 9 months, in which 3 months happen on the Kenyan side, so if you are planning to visit, plan accordingly.

As Mary Anne Radmacher rightly says, “I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.”

This is the finale , we will come up with more focused and more amazing series in the coming blogs, till then if you found anything new and useful, do not forget to like and also follow for more amazing content.
