Well yes in today's world one of the most underrated and ignored mental disease is DEPRESSION.
I will not enter i to it's technical meaning and definitions because honestly that us of no use. The real fact which requires our concern is the rational understanding of it by a common man like you and me. So for our understanding I will explain this as a process or stage in our life where we find our brain clogged with emotional burden which could arise because of various reasons such as death of a dear one, breakup from our lover, medical emergency and many more, which results in such overwhelmingly movement of thoughts in and out of our brain leading to a mental break down which results in us giving up hope and excitement in our lives , thus giving a strong resentment feeling towards life which on the other hand kills the zeal to live further.
But trust me this is not the saddest part, the saddest part is that we as a society do not welcome this disease as a serious issue rather we consider this as a type of mental handicap due to which we start to look down upon the disease and even the person suffering from it.
This is not done, we are the responsible citizens and if we treat people like this then remember one thing that this thing can happen with each and everyone out there not sparing even you and myself.
So what needs to be done is to create awareness among the general mass regarding this and give our love and support to people suffering from it and help them to overcome it. Only then our earth will become a happy place to live in. We should promote doctor consultancy and should respond in no time as soon as someone from our contact discloses the occurence of it.
We have to also make sure that we are working on our skills to deal with people in day to day life of our as we never know what talk of our could push someone into the deep pot hole of depression. The more responsible and rational we become, the more we are safe from the clutches of depression.
So lets join hands and stand together upright in this fight against social discrimination and un justice and help our friends in their difficult times.
Together we all can fight depression.
