SYSTEM: 

A System is a way of working organizing or doing one or more tasks according to the fixed plan program or set

A system is also an arrangement of many component and work together according to the plan or program. A system may be anything that is used to execute some pre defined task in meaningful ways.

EMBEDDED SYSTEM:

It is a combination of software and hardware 

It is designed to perform a particular task

The task has to be completed in a given time

Eg., mobile phone, washing machine, micro oven …etc.,

The different input for an embedded system is sensor, button touch panel, bluetooth, IR . The output may be in the form of LED, LCDS or bluetooth, IR.

The different controller are used in this system such as ROM, RAM, ALU control unit.

ROM- only permanent data will be store so we call it us code memory

RAM- run time data memory

ALU- Airthematic logic unit performing all the calculations.

CONTROL UNIT- is going to control all the operations.

Fequency generator used a crystal oscillator. Which is used for setting a time for a particular task.

APPLICATION OF EMBEDDED SYSTEM:

Medical system: in medical system in which our devices we use the embedded system so like pace maker and patient monitoring system. In the patient monitoring system will be present above the bed. In ICUs

Office equipment: in the field of office in which devices we use embedded system. Printer is only performing a particular task fax machine etc.

Tools like multimeter, oscilloscope, GPS.

Banking-ATM machine is an embedded system, statement printer 

Transportation-Embedded system will be used like planes, trains, boats, automoblies.

CHARACTERISTICS OF EMBEDDED SYSYTEM:

SOPISTICATED FUNTIONALITY-The embedded system is implemented the sopisticated funtionality, so here the degree can be vary from appliance to appliance.

REAL TIME OPERATION:

The embedded system are not always that satisfy the real time operation actually the embedded systems are mainly designed to complete the task with in particular time. In this not all the embedded system will satisfy the real time operations. This is nothing but the operation has to be completed by deadlines there are two kinds of deadline

HARD DEADLINE - We cannot reqlly miss a deadlines once the deadline is fixed it has to be complete at any cost

Soft deadline-we can miss the deadline low cost sometimes by crossing the time also work has to be completed.
