During my childhood days, everything could be turned into toys. Leaves could be shaped into utensils, or it could be money and small fruits could be animals. Those were the most adventurous day where we spend the whole day just playing with whatever was available. Our parents would buy us toys atleast once a year that was on Christmas and we were very content with it.
Collecting a very good shaped small stones were always a part of our day. We would collect as many stones and gather with our cousins to play. We would play the 5 stoned or 10 stoned game or if we are bored of it, we would play 7 stones.
It was basically nothing easy or tough complicated just trying to collect all the stones in each round. A 5 stoned game is the most easy and simple game. The stones are thrown by the person playing on the ground and the person who leads in many rounds is the winner, if any stones fall down or cannot be picked up the person has to wait for his or turn to play again. Out of 5 stones, one stone would be thrown up and we would try to collect the remaining stone. In the first round, a person can pick 4 stones one by one throwing up 1 of the 5 stones up and simultaneously picking up the stone one by one. On second round, the stones need to be picked up in pairs, and on third round the stones are divided as 3 and 1, the three stones needs to be picked up together without dropping even one. One the forth round, all four stones needs to be picked up together and on the last round all five stones are flipped to the back of the hand at once and all five stones needs to land on the back of the palm and needs to be flipped back and catch all five stones.
I still cannot play the ten stone game even after being an adult, as our parents would not let us play with this stone game saying that our handwriting would become bad if we play so much. I do not know whether it is true or not as my handwriting was bad and is still is so I cannot prove it right or wrong.
Seven stone games is just like the name implies it is a seven stones stacked together and there will be two teams, one of which will try to stop the other team from trying to stack all 7 stones together. In the beginning of the game one of the team leader whose team needs to stack it up together will throw the ball at the stones that were stacked together and as soon as I'm the ball needs the stone the game starts. The opponent team would try to hit the other team with a ball which would make them be stuck at that position until the teammate comes to release. If the opponent team hits almost all the other team with the ball the team wins but if the other team is able to stack up all seven stones together the other team wins. This was such an intense and tough game
