Finish What You Start Book Review

Reading non fiction book in the morning to get my day started is one of the best decision I have made in this year, it was a resolution I had made for myself and I am so glad that I did that.

And indeed I fell in love with that book, and of course I am going to give you a little heads on that!

The book is “FINISH WHAT YOU START” by “PETER HOLLINS”.

So the author of the book has divided his life lessons into 8 chapters that basically is a guide to your journey of following through

For following through and sticking to your journey author describes the tool kit you should be carrying while going on the journey of following through, he had elated to each one those for our own body part for better understanding, like this

  1. Head which means focus: Whatever that it is you should be doing it with your mind and soul into it with entire dedication
  2. Spine which means discipline: Just like the spine discipline will keep you upright
  3. Hands and feet denotes action: You possibly shouldn't be only focusing on things you should be doing, instead you get up and do it
  4. Heart is perseverance: And lastly you should have your heart to whatever you do and that will give you the zeal for perseverance in your journey of follow through.

The second lesson that I often remember is what you should be doing when you feel like the efforts are useless to make.

This brave advice from author often comes handy and that is, keep your internal motivators and external motivators along with you, it could be anything that motivates you keep going each and every day

Yet another one is that prioritize three things on your to do list that you got to be doing no matter what, its just the three important things a day that will enable you to achieve your goal. Also understand to make difference between “IMPORTANT” and “URGENT” . urgent things might sound important sometimes ,but it surely isn't, instead sit back, think of it and go to the real important one.

And then comes my most motivating one and that is, following through in your journey is 100% mental you should know the consequences that you might have to deal whilst in the journey, the obstacles that might occur or the big ladder of failures or may be have to deal with sick and ruthless clients or whatever it takes you get there where you want it.

So this was some pointers and insights of the book, I think is one of the best part in it also much helpful and perception gaining one.

This book has got me through some real life rough patches, and not only that it made me think and form a whole another perspective of how to handle situation when gone out of your hand, its one another bible for me, and to say anything about the book wouldn't  alone will do justice you might want to give it a shot, which i highly think you should, mostly f you think that you are so stuck in life and probably cant go nowhere
